Today's US Stock Market 11/20/2023

Treasury Bond ETF TLT, -0.23% , with the 10-year Treasury yield rising slightly to 4.471%.

Analysts at Deutsche Bank on Monday upgraded their investment rating on Boeing Co. ( BA +3.69% ) to "buy" from "hold" previously. They said the aerospace and defense giant is poised to improve cash flow as aircraft deliveries increase. Deutsche Bank raised its price target on Boeing (BA) to $270 pr share from $204 per share. Microsoft (#MSFT +1.25% ) hires former Open AI CEO Sam Altman.

Expectations are very high for Nvidia's (NVDA +1%) earnings report on Tuesday. One reason for optimism: NVDA has beaten estimates in 19 of the last 20 quarters, according to FactSet. Tech giants and startups alike are spending billions of dollars developing artificial intelligence technology. Because NVDA's semiconductors are at the heart of such efforts, it has been a major beneficiary.

Analysts say Bitcoin (BTC) could approach the $50,000 level “this month or next” as investors await ETF approval. The election of Javier Mire as Argentina's president also helped. Milei supports Bitcoin and has openly criticized the country’s central bank. Call options between $30,000 and $50,000 "have the highest open interest in November and December," said analyst Rachel Lin, CEO of SynFutues.

Technically, major markets are breaking above recent highs and stocks continue to rise. From a seasonal perspective, stocks typically rise during Thanksgiving. Additionally, bullish expectations for NVDA's earnings and six of the seven stocks in the "Vida 7" rising this morning also helped.
