Bitcoin has now lost 67% of its value since its all time high price of $69000. It is in danger of dropping below $20000. While it is not surprise that it can lose this much base on its historical volatile characteristic, it does show that it is not a good vehicle for store of value. The merits of Bitcoin are brought up the idea of blockchain and decentralized currency. However, its problems are outdated technology and its utilities are limited. Unavoidably, it is going to give way to new crop of cryptos with up to date technology that focus on achieving energy efficient, massive user base and broad Eco-system and Pi is leading the pack.
