The Federal Reserve as expected raised Fed Fund Rate by 0.5% to 4.25-4.50% and the Dot Plot raised next year's interest rate projection sharply. Jay Powell's talk was also hawkish. ZeroHedge summarized Hawkish talk as follows:

However, the stock market's resilient reaction to these hawkishness is a big surprise with the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq down only 0.42%, 0.61% and 0.76% respectively and the Fear Index VIX even closed down 6.25%! There were no fear in the market as if the market is saying to the Federal Reserve: We don't believe you, you are wrong!

Who is right, the Federal Resrve or the market? We will know tomorrow (the real market's reaction to a Fed decision usually happens on the day after). I wouldn't go against the Fed. I think the stock market will likely drop big tomorrow.

The followings are reasons for the market likely to come down in the near term:  Nasdaq, S&P 500 and Dow are likely to be capped at the 200-day moving average resistance after rising nearly 24%, 18% and 14%, respectively, from their June lows. The volatility index VIX near April lows shows that investor sentiment is overly optimistic. CPI at 8.5%, much higher than Fed target of 2%, this will likely cause the Fed to continue accelerate its interest rate hike. Major tech stock valuations are too high, followings are their PEG levels (1 is fair value, below 1 is under value, over 1 is over value):AMZN 3.92, AAPL 2.91, NVDA 2.16, TSLA 2.13, MSFT 1.97, META 1.97, QCOM 1.74 and GOOG1.48.  AAPL's rise of more than 36% since June is somewhat outrageous and most worrying.

These kind of demands will cause the shortage of Pi and hence commanding a high price. Since Pi's blockchain has the infrastructures for the development of the 3rd generation internet Web 3, numerous Web 3 applications will be developed around Pi block chain in the future.  Pi's future value is hence un-calculable.

After 6 days and on average 7% rally from their June lows, major market indexes failed to break above their 20 day moving average resistances and are turning back down. Another bear market rally has ended. Now the indexes are all below their 20,50 and 200 day moving averages, their short, intermediate and long term trends are all down. They are likely to go down and test their June low prices again. June lows for the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are 29912, 3636 and 10565. Q2 earning season is around the corner, weakness in earnings and downbeat future projections and interest rate hike in July are likely to drag the stock market lower. There is no signed for a bottom yet as the Fear Gauge VIX is still at around 30 while the VIX levels for previous market bottoms were ranging from 41 to 85.  Don't fight market trend, don't fight interest rate trend are the mottos to follow, strategy is sell on rallies.

I passed my Pi KYC last night! I am a Validator now and have done 21 validations. There is a natural strong sense of responsibility to do the jobs right once I am on it. It takes me 1-2 minutes to do each. As more Validators are on the job, KYC will be done faster and faster. Pi's success is in sight.

The full name of KYC is Know Your Customer, and Pi's KYC program is used to authenticate the real-name identity of the participating miners. After the Pioneer successfully passed KYC, when the Mainnet of the Pi coin blockchain is publicly launched, the Pi coins mined by the Pioneer will be transferred to the wallet and can be spend. So the day when KYC is completed is when Pi become successful.

In order to do KYC, Pioneers need to down load the Pi Browser first because the procedure will be done inside the Pi Browser under KYC. Pi's KYC program leads the certification process: 1. Take a photo of the driver's license, 2. Take a selfie head portrait, 3. Take a selfie head movement video, 4. Fill in the personal information, 5. Upload the system certification after the information is confirmed to be accurate. If the system can automatically authenticate successfully, there is no need for a real person to verify the authentication.

Investors are not fearful enough for the market to bottom yet. The Fear Gauge VIX is only around 33. In history, the previous tops are 53.29 in 2015, 50.30 in 2018 and 85.47 in 2020. Major U.S. stock indexes fell over 3% on average.The Dow fell below 30,000, the S&P crossed below 3,700, and the Nasdaq crossed below 10,733.  All major stock indexes have fallen below their recent lows, and the US stock market trend has resumed downward. The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq supports are now at 27,000, 3,500 and 10,000 respectively. Today's decline in US stocks will continue and irreversible. Besides, Q2 corporate earnings reports will likely be disastrous, be fearful. Wall Street motto : Don't fight the Fed, Don't fight market trend! US stock trend will continue trending down. Bitcoin Is Losing Its Lustrous 比特币正在失去光泽

Bitcoin has now lost 67% of its value since its all time high price of $69000. It is in danger of dropping below $20000. While it is not surprise that it can lose this much base on its historical volatile characteristic, it does show that it is not a good vehicle for store of value.  The merits of Bitcoin are brought up the idea of blockchain and decentralized currency. However, its problems are outdated technology and its utilities are limited.  Unavoidably, it is going to give way to new crop of cryptos with up to date technology that focus on achieving energy efficient, massive user base and broad Eco-system and Pi is leading the pack.
