。Orders for durable, or long-lasting, goods fell in February for the first time in four months and business investment continued to soften, reflecting a slower U.S. economy early in the new year. Durable-goods orders sank 1.6%, largely because of fewer bookings for commercial aircraft and defense-related hardware, the Commerce Department said Tuesday.  Economists surveyed by MarketWatch had forecast a 2.1% decline.---Market Watch

。World trade shrank by 0.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2018 and is likely to grow by 2.6 percent this year, slower than 3.0 percent growth in 2018 and below a previous forecast of 3.7 percent, the World Trade Organization said on Tuesday. ---Reuters

。Bitcoin (BTC-USD) bounced 16% overnight to more than $4,700, according to CoinDesk data, leading other virtual currencies higher, with Ether (ETH-USD) and Ripple (XRP-USD) both rising around 6%. Bitcoin also briefly touched the $5,000 mark on the Luxembourg-based Bitstamp exchange. While sudden swings in Bitcoin are nothing new, price action in the crypto has been relatively subdued this year as investors weighed the prospects for more mainstream adoption following a 74% crash in 2018.  Bitcoin breaks resistance at the $4.2K level and  briefly touch $5K. on the Luxembourg-based Bitstamp exchange.
