US Stock Market Still Wants To Go Higher 美国股市仍想走高

The US stock market is negatively impacted by the big 8.3% drop in Alphabet (GOOGL) after it reported better than expected earning but revenue missed expectation for the fourth quarter. The stock has risen about 33% since December 24 last year, a give back of 8% is not that alarming. The Dow dropped 135 points at one point in the morning and has now recovered most of this loss by down only 6 points. The S&P 500 has recovered about 75% of its 19 point losses earlier while weakest Nasdaq composite has recovered about 40% of its 111 point drop earlier. Meanwhile the fear index ETF VXXB is only up a small 0.19% indicates institutions are still optimistic about the market. Unless Apple (AAPL) reporting badly this afternoon, the stock market is still wanting to go higher. Both the Dow and Russell 2000 may be catching up with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq in making all time high with Russell 2000 chart set up looks the best.
