Bitcoin surged to all time high today on Tesla's (TSLA) buying $1.5 Billion (about 8% of its cash reserve) Bitcoin and may accept bitcoin for payment. At 2:40 PM Pacific Time, Bitcoin rose $6155 (+15.78%) to $44720 eclipsing the previous high $42000. I saw this coming couple months ago as billionaires, hedge funds, endowment funds, insurance companies, and corporations such as Square (SQ) and Microstrategy (MSTR) were getting into Bitcoin, while Square (SQ), PayPal ({YPL) and Robinhood all offer Bitcoin trading. Repuatble economist Mohamed El-Erian said "this (Tesla buying Bitcoin) helps legitimize its (bitcoin) standing as a real currency and provides a real boost to investors". Investors piled into bitcoin , other cryto-currencies and bitcoin related stocks. Crypto currencies such as Etherium (ETH), Light Coin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) rose 6%, 10% and 7% respectively while Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), Marathon Patent Group (MARA) and Riot Blockchain (RIOT) closed up 20%,42% and 40% respectively. It is going to be very bullish for Bitcoin as investors are now expecting many corporations are going to follow the leaders and put some of their reserve cash into Bitcoin. More and more corporate announcements are to be expected and the next big one could be Apple (AAPL). Base on technical analysis, the immediate target for this run up on Bitcoin is $52000 and may be higher.
