After last Friday's over 400 point drop in the Dow, market action has been weak. This is evident as morning rallies were sold 3 days in a row. However, buy on dips are still supportive to the market. For further market deterioration, weakness at the close is needed. Continue strength in
US Treasuries (lower yield) is also a key as that adds to recession fear. Today the 10 year Treasury yield is back up to 2.395% from yesterday's close at 2.356% is helpful to the stock market.  On the trade talk front, news of China's willingness in talks on forced technology transfer issue helped the market, while White House Chief Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow said earlier that time of finishing up the deal may take a while cooled things down.  Today's weakness in semiconductor sector and FAANG (Face Book, Amazon, Apple, Neflix, Google) are market drags today. Technically, S&P 500 is still fighting to hold above key level 2800. For the last few days, S&P 500 has been trading between 2785 and 2830. Lower highs has been made is indicative of weakness. Market will likely accelerate to the down side if 2785 breaks.
