Technically, the Dow has formed multiple tops while both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are seeing double tops. The Dow Transportation Index has also formed head and shoulder top and is below its 200, 50 and 20 day moving averages. 。“We were about 90% of the way there [with a deal] and I think there’s a path to complete this,” US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin  told CNBC’s Hadley Gamble in Manama, Bahrain. He’s optimistic that progress can be made during weekend talks between President Donald Trump and China’s Xi Jinping. A Bank of America Merrill Lynch survey of investors finds that about two-thirds expected no deal this weekend, but no new tariffs either. The drag on the economy from tariffs and weakened sentiment is expected to continue until there is a real deal.  Stocks are likely to see a temporary relief rally and bonds could sell off if there is a ‘ceasefire’ declared in the trade wars by the U.S. and China this weekend, but the damage to the global economy could continue until a tariff-ending deal is struck. ---CNBC

。Micron Technology (MU): Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.05 beats by $0.26; GAAP EPS of $0.74 beats by $0.15. Revenue of $4.79B (-38.6% Y/Y) beats by $90M. Adjusted gross margin was 39.3%, down from last year's 60.9% but near the upper end of Micron's guidance. The Q4 view has revenue within $200M of $4.5B (consensus: $4.56B) and EPS within $0.07 of $0.45 (consensus: $0.70). Looking ahead, operating income at FedEx Ground and FedEx Freight is expected to increase due to higher revenues. At FedEx Express, macroeconomic weakness and trade uncertainty, continued mix shift to lower-yielding services and a strategic decision to not renew a customer contract are anticipated to negatively impact operating income. "Our fiscal 2020 performance is being negatively affected by continued weakness in global trade and industrial production, especially at FedEx Express," notes FedEx CFO said Alan Graf. ---Seeking Alpha

。Wedbush raised its price target on Roku to $105 from $65. 。Wedbush lowers its Q2 unit delivery forecast on Tesla (TSLA) to 84K from 88K to reflect its view on demand. "We continue to believe the biggest overhang around the story is Tesla's ability to hit its overall unit guidance for 2019 of 360k to 400k units as this will be the telling tale of demand trends as Tesla is now a 'demand story' rather than a production story," writes analyst Dan Ives. He thinks Tesla hitting 275K Model 3 deliveries during the year would be viewed as a success.
Wedbush keeps a Neutral rating on Tesla and price target of $230. The consensus sell-side rating on Tesla is Hold. ---Seeking Alpha

--- CNBC
