Major US stock indexes are trading in narrow range and are mixed this morning after big up moves from the last two days. Investors are waiting for result on US-Mexican trade negotiation as both sides will resume meeting today. Since major stock indexes have recovered above their 200 day moving averages, stock market trend is now biased to the upside unless supports are broken. Dow support is 25425 and resistance is 25565. S&P 500 support is 2800 and resistance is 2826. Nasdaq support is 7517 and resistance is 7600.

。Mexican and U.S. officials are set to resume talks in Washington on Thursday aimed at heading off punitive tariffs on Mexican goods after President Donald Trump said more needed to be done to curb migration at the southern U.S. border. The two sides met on Wednesday for discussions led by Vice President Mike Pence in an effort to strike a deal that would satisfy the U.S. president, who has called for the imposition of tariffs from Monday. “Immigration discussions at the White House with representatives of Mexico have ended for the day. Progress is being made, but not nearly enough!” Trump, traveling in Europe to mark the 75 anniversary of D-Day, tweeted late on Wednesday. ---Reuters

。The U.S. trade deficit unexpectedly narrowed in April as imports of goods dropped to a 15-month low. The Commerce Department said the trade deficit fell 2.1% to $50.8 billion in April. Data for March was revised up to show the trade gap increasing to $51.9 billion instead of the previously reported $50.0 billion. The government revised trade data from 2014. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the trade gap would widen to $50.7 billion in April. ---Reuters

。ECB revised up GDP growth forecasts for 2019 euro-area growth and inflation by 0.1 percentage points in its new projections, it trimmed its 2020 and 2021 GDP forecasts from the March forecast, by 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively: Sees 2019 at 1.3% vs 1.2% in March. Sees 2020 at 1.4% vs 1.5%. Sees 2021 at 1.6% vs 1.6%.---Zero Hedge

。Morgan Stanley upgrades AMD to equal-weight from underweight and raises the price target to $28 from $17. “Being cautious on the stock has obviously been the wrong call, even though we were right on some aspects,” Morgan Stanley equity analyst Joseph Moore says.
AMD, which was the best performing stock in the S&P 500 in 2018, is up over 88% in the last 12 months and 59% this year. ---CNBC

。Ciena (CIEN)The networking equipment maker beat estimates by 7 cents a share, with adjusted quarterly profit of 48 cents per share. Revenue came in well above Wall Street projections, helped by what Ciena calls “improving industry dynamics” as well as growing market share and competitive advantages. ---CNBC

。Canopy Growth (CGC) – Stifel Nicolaus rates the cannabis producer “buy” in new coverage, saying it represents the best investable opportunity among its peers to capitalize on growth in the industry.

。Amazon (AMZN) drones will be making deliveries in "months," beginning test runs of toothpaste and household goods weighing as much as five pounds. "From paragliders to power lines to a corgi in the backyard, the brain of the drone has safety covered," said Jeff Wilke, who oversees Amazon's retail business. Where will the program start? It's not known yet, but the devices will make deliveries within 7.5 miles of a company warehouse and reach customers within 30 minutes. ---Wall Street Breakfast
