Strength in Apple (AAPL) stock boosted US stock higher at the open. However weak ADP employment report is dragging stocks back down. Dow was up 158 points at morning's high and is now up 118points while the Nasdaq has turned negative from up 62 to down 1. Yesterday's market bounce was surprisingly strong with the Dow up over 500 points. Analysts predicting the Federal Reserve will at least cut interest rate twice this year is what is behind the move besides a oversold market. However yesterday's bounce is overdone and some retracement is likely since US-China trade war is intensifying and US-Mexico trade war is just starting. Technically, Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite  recovered above their 200 day moving averages at 25426, 2775 and 7519 respectively. These are levels that the market will be trading around today. Staying above them is bullish while below is bearish.

ADP private employer added 27,000 jobs in May, falling far short of economists’ expectations.Economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast the ADP National Employment Report would show a gain of 180,000 jobs. ---Reuters

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he would probably order new tariffs on all Mexican goods imported to the United States next week despite a diplomatic push to avoid the levies, citing high flows of migrants entering the United States from Mexico. Mexico was preparing a proposal on immigration to present to U.S. officials at a meeting in Washington on Wednesday but Trump said the talks might not be enough. ---Reuters

Apple (AAPL) CEO Tim Cook told CBS News that he didn't "anticipate" his company would be targeted by China should the ongoing trade war escalate further. "We've had a company in China for a long time. And so, there is a, I believe, a healthy level of respect for both sides," he added.
Cook also dismissed the idea that Apple was "too big" and took issue with suggestions from presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren that it had a monopoly position that would warrant action from either lawmakers or the DOJ.

SalesForce (CRM) reported better-than-expected first-quarter earnings and strong guidance for the 2020 fiscal year. The company reported earnings of 93 cents per share on revenue of $3.74 billion, while Refinitiv consensus estimates projected earnings of 61 cents per share on revenue of $3.68 billion. ---CNBC

Skyworks (SWKS) Solutions stock ticked lower after the Huawei supplier cut its guidance for the upcoming quarter and for the 2019 fiscal year in light of the Trump administration blacklisting Chinese telecom giant Huawei. Skyworks cut its third-quarter revenue forecast to a range of $755 million to $775 million, down from prior guidance of between $815 million and $835 million. Skyworks said in a press release that sales to Huawei accounted for approximately 12% of the company’s total revenue for the first six months of 2019. ---CNBC

Ambarella (AMBA) reported first-quarter earnings that beat analyst expectations. Ambarella reported earnings of 1 cent per share, compared with an expected loss of 5 cents per share. The company reported revenue of $47.2 million, just $200,000 higher than expected. Ambarella also reported strong revenue guidance for the upcoming quarter. ---CNBC

BofA/Merrill Lynch upgraded cannabis producer Cronos Group (CRON) from Underperform to Buy with a $20 (from $13) price target . ---Seeking Alpha
