Weakness in Euro area stock markets after EU lowers its 2019 GDP to 1.3% from 1.9% is driving US stock market down. After rising 16.5% in less than 30 trading days, the S&P 500 hit resistance at its 200 day moving average 2741 and failed to break through. The sharp drop today and the forming of an Evening Star reversal chart pattern starts the market correction. A normal 38% retracement would take the S&P 500 down to around the 2600 area. And it's 50 day moving average support is near by at 2614. The start of this correction is right on schedule of my projected time frame of February 4 to 7. And next time the market again reverses is projected to be on February 19 , a Full Moon day. Since there is still 8 more trading days to February 19 reversal day, a more serious correction may take the S&P 500 down to its 50% retracement level 2540.
