US is considering cutting off the flow of American technology to as many as five Chinese companies including Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology, the world's largest supplier of video surveillance products adding tension on the trade front caused US stock to open down this morning.  A judge ruled Qualcomm Inc used unlawful, anticompetitive practices to license patents for modems used in mobile phones and QCOM is down more than 10% dragging down the semiconductor sector. The Dow dropped about 102 points earlier and is now only down 46. Investors are buying the dip regardless of negative news from the trade front. Technically major market indexes are trading between their 50 and 200 day moving averages. If S&P 500 cannot recover above its 50 day moving average at 2873, the stock market is still in a downside correction.

Washington is considering cutting off the flow of American technology to as many as five Chinese companies including Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology, the world's largest supplier of video surveillance products, expanding the US crackdown on China beyond Huawei to include world leaders in video surveillance.

。Qualcomm Inc used unlawful, anticompetitive practices to license patents for modems used in mobile phones,  judge Lucy Koh has ruled in a case brought by the U.S. trade regulator, ordering it to renegotiate major deals and change how it does business. She ordered that Qualcomm renegotiate licensing agreements with customers without using the threat of a halt in supplies as part of its tactics, and at fair and reasonable prices, adding the company would be monitored for seven years to ensure it complies. ---Reuters

。Citi analyst Itay Michaeli sees an increasing chance that Tesla (TSLA) shares will drop more than 80% due to "lingering demand/FCF concerns" despite the recent capital raise and stock pullback. The analyst cuts his regular Tesla PT from $238 to $191 and outlines three potential scenarios: a 40% chance (up from 35%) of the $36 full bear scenario, a 55% chance of a moderate bull scenario at $253, and a 5% chance (down from 10%) of a full bull at $760. Yesterday, Morgan Stanley cut its worst-case scenario Tesla target from $97 to $10. ---Seeking Alpha

。Renowned geopolitical and financial cycle expert Charles Nenner late last year predicted if Deutsche Bannk ( DB ) stock went below $8 a share, “You should be worried.” Recently, DB stock hit all-time lows and now sits around the $7.40 per share level.  "If it breaks below $6.40, it can go out of business. So, it’s a very serious situation... I think all the markets can have a bounce in a couple of days to the end of July. That’s why DB might hold up, but if it gets below $6.40, the world is in trouble.” said Nenner. ---Zero Hedge

。Lowe’s (LOW)— The home improvement retailer reported adjusted quarterly profit of $1.22 per share, 11 cents a share below estimates. Both revenue and comparable-store sales were above Wall Street forecasts, but Lowe’s cut its full-year forecast amid profit margin pressures. ---CNBC

。Target(TGT) — The retailer earned an adjusted $1.53 per share for the first quarter, 10 cents a share above consensus estimates. Revenue also beat forecasts, and a same-store sales increase of 4.8% beat the 4.2% consensus estimate of analysts polled by Refinitiv. ---CNBC
