Closing Market Comment 尾盘市场评论

With only 35 minutes  to go before closing, major market indexes performances are as follows: Dow -50, S&P 500 -8.5, Nasdaq -41.5 and Russell 2000 -8.  Crude oil is down 1.96% at 50.59.  Nasdaq leader stock such as AAPL, AMZN, GOOGL, MSFT, TSLA, NFLX and INTC are all down more than 1%. However, financials are strong after Citigroup's profit beat and revenue miss ,up 0.7%.

It has been another narrowly traded consolidation day. Major market indexes have been trying to break above their resistances at Dow 24000, S&P 500 2600, Nasdaq 7003 and Russell 2000 1454 and so far to no avail. It has been 4 days that major indexes have tried to break, the longer they are not able to, the more discourage investors would be. And they may start to sell and drive the market down. I think the time to resolve either up or down to the market is very close and I believe down is the likely direction. Remember, the 3 most important factors are stopping the market from breaking out ,they are slowing global economy, likely disappointing earning reports and heavy overhead technical resistances.  I am holding my bearish view until something changes.
